When we are asked the simple question about what the meaning of Easter is or why did Jesus Christ, Immanuel came and died? What have we been accustomed to reciting as our standard response? What do hear in every Sunday school report in every church, in every denomination, and at every opportunity? What is … Continue reading →

As a follower of Christ, the one thing that I hear more than the request for prayer is the opposition of it. Those that oppose it aren’t by the people who follow Jesus Christ but those who are against the “Christian Faith”. People who have said that they were once believers until they learned “the … Continue reading →

Deuteronomy 7:7-8 7 It was not because you were more in number than any other people that the LORD set his love on you and chose you, for you were the fewest of all peoples, 8 but it is because the LORD loves you and is keeping the oath that he swore to your fathers, … Continue reading →

Hebrews 11:1-3, 6, 13-14, 16-19 Verses 1 – 3 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For by it the people of old received their commendation. By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not … Continue reading →

Romans 8:31-32 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? When we first come in contact with the … Continue reading →

Matthew 5:46-48 For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father … Continue reading →

We just want to hear how great we are and how special we are. We forbid anyone from saying that we are not good. To be called a sinner brings to mind the outcasts of society. We feel that we are saints and how dare ministers refuse to preach sermons that lifts us up even … Continue reading →

As we seek to save our lives by accumulating all the things we think will save us, we lose the most valuable. We lose our souls in the end but we are blinded by the bondage of our hope. The kidnapper has deceived the prey into thinking that this is all that is left. So we live situation by situation and we subject our souls future to the grave.
