Armor of God
Heavenly Father make me strong in you according to the strength of your might.
Holy Spirit put on me the whole armor of God, that I may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
Fasten on me the belt of truth so that I’m held together just as Christ holds all things in the truth of His glory. Wrap me in your truth that I am not easily led astray by lies, half truths, deceitful and flattering words. Put on me the breastplate of righteousness to guard my heart from every belief that will come that does not honor you.
Make me ready with the gospel of peace being able and willing. Prepare my feet so I can stand, walk, and run for the gospel. Prepare me to give an account of the gospel at all times. Make me ready with the shield of faith to combat the flaming darts of the evil one when he tries to get me to doubt the love of God, the grace of God, the mercy of God, the sovereignty of God and His providence.
Put on me the helmet of salvation to guard my mind taking my thoughts captive; conforming my mind, my thinking, my philosophies, my standards and my worldview to that of my Father in heaven. Give me the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Not just to fight with in times of trouble but to live by because it is life giving. Train me to use it effectively dividing and discerning the word of God.
Lord keep me alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints and also for myself. Lord give me the words when I open my mouth so I can boldly proclaim the mystery of the gospel.
