What happens when your good gifts serves as the anchor for your faith but God takes it away? We lose our assurance of faith because we lost focus of our all encompassing sacrifice for all in Jesus, as a relationship with our Heavenly Father is devalued and placed below a comfortable life filled with earthly blessings and recognition.

Ministry is about displaying God’s grace and mercy by using the worthless to do the impossible which will last an eternity. No, it is not always sunshine and that one person that you are disciplining doesn’t always get it. But as ministers we set aside our comfort and bear all for the sake of others.

Philippians 4:11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.
These words show us that contentment is not a natural propensity of man. “Ill weeds grow apace.” Covetousness, discontent, and murmuring are as natural to man as thorns are to the soil. We need not sow thistles and brambles; they come up naturally enough, because they are indigenous to earth: and so, we need not teach men to complain; they complain fast enough without any education.

We base so much of what we do towards God on what we want to do and what we are comfortable doing. More times than most all that we are willing to do for God in the form of worship is external gestures. We all try to create a place of worship and a “new thing” or “new way” of worship. We dress it up and call it pure because we have made it pure. We take out what we feel is tradition based on our own wisdom.

5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit[b] gives birth to spirit. 7 You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You[c] must be born again.’

I pray Lord God for biblical integrity amongst ministers. In that men of God would study and not just Google word topics, using one line scriptures out of context. Doing so just because the word that they have focused on appears there. I pray that ministers would no longer fear losing membership thus cutting their … Continue reading →
