1 Peter 1:3-7
Born Again to a Living Hope
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, 5 who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 6 In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, 7 so that the tested genuineness of your faith more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 13:5-10

5 Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? unless indeed you fail to meet the test! 6 I hope you will find out that we have not failed the test. 7 But we pray to God that you may not do wrong not that we may appear to have met the test, but that you may do what is right, though we may seem to have failed. 8 For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth. 9 For we are glad when we are weak and you are strong. Your restoration is what we pray for. 10 For this reason I write these things while I am away from you, that when I come I may not have to be severe in my use of the authority that the Lord has given me for building up and not for tearing down.

Have you ever looked into a mirror?  Or have you ever watched yourself on a video?  What discredits a person?  What is a definition of a person?  What makes them real?  Basically it comes down to truth, the previous postings; religious sinners,  reflections, and American Christianity are about lacking that.  We lack it because our center is based on the lie called us.  We are lairs because our father, Satan is the father of lies.  Our works and words don’t match.  Our beliefs and actions don’t align.  How we live is in direct conflict with what is in our hearts.  So we have no authenticity to show.  For this reason of falsehood we avoid conviction from the Holy Spirit.  We use religious acts as a primer for our bad walls but we never apply the paint.  We apply cosmetics to cover-up skin problems that results for the bad things we ingest.   We cover up, to cover up our lack of truth.  We live lifestyles that lie about who we are.  Our  lifestyles also lie about our relationship with Christ Jesus.

We are called to examine ourselves to insure that we are living it.  Its not earning salvation, it’s warring against a sinful flesh who is out to kill us.  To seek God takes exercising faith and renewing our minds take applying Jesus.  We have to deny ourselves first.  Our love for Christ puts the LORD in the center and up high.  It lays a foundation of the word of God, to which we stand firm.  We become rooted and connected to the vine.  From the root flows the water and spirit.  We can’t be false while connected to truth which is Jesus.

John 6:35-40
35 Jesus said to them,  “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst. 36 But I said to you that you have seen me and yet do not believe. 37 All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out. 38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me. 39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day. 40 For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”

There lays my faith, hope, joy, peace, strength,  confidence,  conviction,  love, reliance, reconciliation,  redemption,  atonement,  justification, righteousness , inheritance,  glorification, perserverance, sanctification and salvation.  It is a glorious gracious loving God committed and faithful to keep me authentically his forever; even when I deserve death and act like I love death.  So why would I not want to be real for him as well?  This is a marriage,  the Christ and his bride(the church ).  No marriage that works is one sided.  Love God, Love our neighbors and don’t let Jesus walk alone… follow him.  Be authentic in our love of God, be authentic in our struggles and sufferings, be authentic in our victories and in our set backs, be authentic in our growth and stumblings, be authentic in our times of need and plenty, be authentic in prayer and worship,  be authentic in our living and dying for Jesus Christ and his Gospel.  Live like you love him, live like you know him and live it out now!
