What do you see? 2 Peter 2:9-12

2 Peter 2

then (K)the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials,[d] and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment10 and especially(L)those who indulge[e] in the lust of defiling passion and (M)despise authority. Bold and willful, they do not tremble (N)as they blaspheme the glorious ones,11 (O)whereas angels, though greater in might and power, do not pronounce a blasphemous judgment against them before the Lord. 12 (P)But these, like irrational animals, (Q)creatures of instinct, born to be caught and destroyed, blaspheming about matters of which they are ignorant, will also be destroyed in their destruction,

We like to talk about how bad the devil is and how Satan is evil.  Those that believe in the existence of demons, talk about how they can cause us to do terrible things.  We call people the anti-Christ and we stand with chest out and boast in our self-righteousness.  We think that we are good and perfect even.  We even have the nerve to look down on others.  But look at this; even angels fallen or not didn’t even pronounce a blasphemous judgement against them before the Lord.  They had greater power and more knowledge as we not knowing anything speak against God.  We are foolish as even demons knew who Jesus is and had enough sense to beg for mercy as to ask to be cast into pigs.  How ignorant is mankind to speak of things he do not understand yet speak with certainty.  Regardless of how evil Satan is, in the case of Job he obeyed God’s command and we rebel against God’s commands daily….  We shouldn’t think so highly of ourselves and appreciate the grace of God as it is gloriously wonder; saving us from wrath and our very selves.
